Themes, motion and scenes

Choose a theme, how much motion you see, and 3D or 2D scenes, in Preferences → Appearance.

Open Preferences → Appearance. Choose what you like, then Save Changes.

Theme

Oruva and Oruva Dark are the porcelain and nocturne studio looks. Orchid and Orchid Dark let you pick an accent colour as well.

Motion

• Full: scenes play their animations.
• Calm: no camera moves or flying pictures; short fades only.
• Still: everything appears finished at once.

Your system’s reduced-motion setting always wins. The Animations switch at the top of Preferences turns scenes to Still and back.

Scenes: 3D or 2D

3D plays the full scenes on the studio floor. 2D keeps the same steps in simple popups with line art: adding pictures, creating or opening a library, the empty library and the Preferences headers use them instead of the 3D floor. It uses almost no graphics memory. Every open window follows the choice at once.
