How can we help?
Short guides with clips from Oruva itself.
Getting started
- Oruva's interface — Five minutes to learn where everything is: the sidebar, the toolbar, your pictures and the inspector.
- Create a new library — A library keeps your pictures, their 3D models and your boards together.
- Add a folder of pictures and models — Point Oruva at your collection. It shows what it found and asks only what needs a decision.
Models & 3D apps
- Name files so they connect by themselves — The same name for a model and its pictures is the best practice. Imperfect names are the safety net.
- Review connections in Model Matcher — See the closest model for each picture, and why it was suggested.
- Send a model to your 3D app — Right-click a picture, choose Send to, your app and renderer. The scene arrives with its materials.
- Build one scene from many models — Queue models in 3D Generator; Oruva assembles them into one scene and sends it to your 3D app.
- Install a 3D app connector — Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Houdini and SketchUp receive scenes through a small Oruva connector.
- Free the graphics card for rendering — Move Oruva’s AI models off the graphics card before a heavy render.
Using Oruva
- Make your library searchable — Install the AI models once, prepare each library with Make It Smart, then search by words or by a picture.
- Find pictures by colour — Pick a colour and see the pictures that contain it.
- Find pictures by style with Designer — Use reference pictures and colours to find pictures in your library that look alike.
- Favourites, ratings and notes — Mark favourites, rate pictures and keep notes in the inspector.
- Browse by category — See your pictures sorted into categories, and narrow the grid to one group.
- Clean up duplicate pictures — Find pictures saved more than once, keep the best copy and remove the rest.
- Collect ideas on a Moodboard — Gather pictures and notes on a board, arrange them freely, and keep several boards in each library.
- Add features with plugins — Install community plugins from the Plugin Center, and see what each one can access first.
- Themes, motion and scenes — Choose a theme, how much motion you see, and 3D or 2D scenes, in Preferences → Appearance.
- Keyboard shortcuts — See every shortcut, and change the keys for menu commands.
- Move a library to another computer — Export a Library Pack, with or without its connected models, and import it there.
Troubleshooting
- Run a health check — See what works, what needs a look, and fix most problems in one click.
- Save a support report — An encrypted report that only Oruva support can read. Nothing is uploaded automatically.
